One thing that I’m doing lately that is working well for me is a weekly wrap-up.
At the end of the week, I analyze what I did during the previous seven days, and what I want to do and achieve in the next week. Doing this helps me stay focused on what I need to be doing.
Anything else I either automate or delegate. Simple as that.
You and I don’t have time to be doing everything and anything, even if is on our to-do list because our time is limited.
I have to spend time with my paying clients, follow up on leads and spend time with my wife and kids and for myself. I need to take care of my physical health and my mental health. I need to have my sleep. That only can be done if I have the freedom to focus on what’s important.
This week, my emphasis is improving my unique selling proposition and working on my elevator pitch. That is something that I want to be working on this week. I will be catching up with every client who sends me an email or any customers who are waiting for a response. I will be following up with a lot of people as well this week.
It’s an incredible week for me. I’m catching up. I’m not doing any active projects. I might start one, who knows? Right now my focus is working on my elevator pitch, delegating anything that can be delegated, automating anything that can be automated. I will be soon traveling, and I need to have a better system in place, so things get done while I’m gone. That’s something you can be doing with services like Fancy Hands, IFTTT, or Zapier.
Automate your shopping. Automate your research. Anything that can be done, Google Alerts, you name it. The tools are out there. There is no excuse for saying to me, “Hey, Angel, how come you get so much done and I can’t?” I’m telling you how I get it done and how I keep improving.
