This year has been incredible. We’ve been in Rome, Barcelona, Dublin, Germany, Florida and Puerto Rico.
It’s been great. Traveling this much has given me and given my family and I an insight on how, do’s and don’t’. I learned a lot about…
- Airports
- How to save time and money during my travels
- What suitcase are the best
There are a couple of tips and in not particular order the first one is to your best to travel with just a carry-on suitcase.
The carry-on suitcase I like is an American Tourister. I bought it on Amazon
Depending on how you dress, you can fit between a week to two weeks’ worth of clothes. If you go comfortable, like I just flew comfortable, I flew with jeans. I put inside shorts and another set of pants. I flew with flip-flops because I was going to Puerto Rico. The weather was beautiful, but I had running shoes and dress shoes inside. Plenty socks and underwear and t-shirts to swap for two weeks in this suitcase.
We had a big bag to go to Puerto Rico thinking that we would need it, and paid for the extra luggage, but we could have saved that money.
It’s easier to travel with just a carry-on suitcase, and you have your belongings with you. They don’t get damaged and being thrown away with the plane, with the other luggage. They fly with you. You have access to them; you don’t have to wait for your suitcase to come out in the belt when you arrive at the airport.
Another travel hack is to give yourself enough time. I hear stories all the time about people missing the plane. We yet have missed a plane. Maybe because we arrive at the airport with enough time, two hours at least, and we leave the house with enough time just in case something happened, so that’s it.
Another thing that I do is, I don’t stress about finding a hotel or plane tickets. The one thing that I’ve been doing for a long time now is the initial research. Finding a place to stay, airplanes, plane tickets, I give it to FancyHands.
I give FancyHands all the details, and I let them do the research. Why? Because when I do it, I spend hours trying to find the best deals, and it seems like they find it for me, the same thing or better in 20 minutes or less. It not only saves me time, but I get the similar result. Sometimes even better.
Last time I flew to Orlando, they found a great place for me, Westgate Resorts, when I was trying to find a hotel near the airport, they found a place way better. It was like an apartment, for cheaper than the cost of the hotel, so it’s worth trying Fancy Hands. Let them do the research. Fly with a suitcase and research.
The next travel hack is to travel with no set schedule.
I’ve seen people that fly, we’ve got to be this place at this time and then now we’re going to miss the bus. They go on vacation, they feel, I can see the stress in them. We just go, and it is what it is. We just have fun, relax, that’s the whole point of a vacation. You see things, but you don’t stress out about little things.
What I say to my friends, “Remember always to create manage and grow.
Create the life that you want to live, don’t live the life that is handed to you. Manage your time wisely and grow every single day.”
