How to Create a 3-Month Content Calendar for Facebook

Today you’ll get a simple system to fill up at least 3 months for your videos, images, text posts, and marketing promotions in advance.

Taking the guesswork out and all the overwhelm that goes hand and hand with posting unplanned content.

Make it even easier, copy the template provided and make your own.

The goal is to fill up at least 3 months of ideas for your videos, images, text posts, and marketing promotions in advance

I want you to block at least 90 minutes in your calendar. If you don’t finish in 90 minutes, block another 90 minutes, and another until you are done.

I’m going to share my favorite ways to generate topic ideas. 

Exercise #1: Brainstorming Questions

  1. What does Fred want or need that you can provide them?
  2. How can you help Fred move in the direction that he wants to go?
  3. Has Fred made any attempts to address these goals or challenges in the past?
  4. What questions would Fred ask you?
  5. How is Fred currently using social media?
  6. What is that you do?
  7. How are you doing, what you do?
  8. Why you do what you do?
  9. What I believe about…
  10. If you had to start again, what would you do?
  11. What is one Fun facts/trivia?
  12. What is the weekly tip?
  13. What is your unique process to…
  14. Share a few of your favorite things
  15. Share a Case study/Testimonial
  16. Tell me one true thing about what you offer and want false thing about what you offer
  17. What is one myth you can debunk right now?
  18. Give me the 1,2,3 easy steps to…
  19. What makes it special and different? (Why should Fred care?)
  20. How will you sell your product?
  21. What are some of the questions people ask you or in your niche frequently?
  22. Tell me the truth about what you offer

Survey your audience

Live interviews are great for 1-on-1 sessions. However, a better way is to email your list and use online surveys. Use something like a google form and create a simple form with two to five questions to help you uncover topic ideas from the audience. Include a few open-ended questions.

  • Post your survey on social media
  • Email your list
  • Use Instagram polls

Pro Tip: Use a list of content topics and ask people to pick their top 3 choices. 

Set a timer for 45 minutes and look at your calendar where holidays fall and certain activities during the year. Leading up to a promotion, do a 30-day ramp up. And the theme is related to what I’m going to sell.

Look at previously created content

Set a timer for 45 minutes and look at what you’ve created that resonates with your audience.

  • What was shared in your most popular social media posts?
  • Expand on or shine a new light on the topic or put a spin on it.
  • What was the most popular
  • What got the most likes
  • What got the most comments
  • Think of creating content in a 3 or 5 part mini-series
