But you have too if you want to use your website to help you fill your pipeline, assist you with follow-ups, build brand awareness, improve your search engine rankings and make more sales.
But there is a way you can update your website even if you are busy. Do one thing today, another tomorrow, and keep going until you are done.
Here are 7 things you can change or update your website this week.
- Monday – Description of your products & services
- Tuesday – Biography of you, your company or both
- Wednesday – Client list, testimonials, or endorsements
- Thursday – Photographs, illustrations or links to of your work
- Friday – Articles, videos, or audio that are educational, entertaining or inspiring
- Saturday – FAQ’s
- Sunday – Resources page
Description of your products & services
What should you update? Not everything. Pick one product or service you will like to focus on this year, right now.
Tip: Have a page with a list of all your products and services listed and linked to their individual pages.
Biography of you, your company or both
The about page should tell the reader it’s in the right place. Also how you can help them, show social proof, testimonials, or other reassurances.

Client list, testimonials, or endorsements
If you have messages from people saying how good you’ve done something, use it. If you don’t have any testimonials, start asking.
Additionally, you should request LinkedIn endorsements and use them on your website.
Tips: Start collecting video testimonials
Photographs, illustrations or links to of your work
This is obvious, but if you don’t have any right now, a good practice will be to start uploading them to places such as Youtube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Instagram to help increase your reach.
Articles, videos, or audio that are educational, entertaining or inspiring
Here are a few ideas:

Create a swipe file with a list of all your relevant pages. This swipe file will save you a ton of time when doing social media or any online marketing for that matter.
