There is nothing wrong with having a few “loser” friends” or clients that drain the life out of you, or people that frustrate you…if you want to be like them.
I still remember my mom giving me a hard time about someone I was hanging out with.
She often said, that particular person reflected badly on you and was an evil influence.
It bothers me back then, but today I realize what valuable lesson she taught me.
Success by association it’s simple
When you think about it, with who you associate not only determine your personal success but also how fast and how much you spend achieving your business goals.
With who you want to be associated? With failures or successful people?
The fewer “failures” you hang around, the more successful people you have room for.
Qualities worth looking for in others
- You feel energize, the excitement when near
- See failure as a new way that don’t work and keep coming back
- Talk about doing something today, and it’s done tomorrow
- Positive, focus in the solution not the problem
- Think big and it’s reflected in what it does
Ask yourself
What qualities should the people you spend most of the time have?
What do they talk about?
Do they talk about interesting topics that challenge you to do better or are they always negative complaining about how bad the economy is?
With whom do they associate?
Do they associate with people what push them to be better and will help you do the same?
What type of people you love being around?
I know a few friends that when the phone rings they say “Is that client calling again, I don’t want to talk to him.” Is that the type of people you love being around?
Let me ask you…
